Beyond having a publishable book, you'll learn about marketing, dealing with agents and publishers and the etiquette of the publishing industry.
You will jump into getting your work out there as we will have a public reading after the class as well as a published anthology if one person takes the editor's class option.
The editor's class option is $475 and will include extra time with Tony to put together an anthology of work from writers in the class as well as soliciting work from established writers. Please email Tony with your interest as only one or two students can take this option.
All students will be required to write and turn in at least five pages every week and there will be group critique.
Before class, please send Tony an example of your writing, under 2000 words, or your idea for your novel or memoir.
A few months after the workshop, students will be invited to a one day class focused on the progress of their works as well as future goal setting and working towards securing an agent and publisher.
There will be no class on October 17th.
